1942 transferred to Seenotstaffel 7.
January 27th 1942 stationed at Syracuse.
February 27th 1942 made a rescue mission with pilot Oberleutnant Tretter and among the crew Bordmechanicer Unteroffizier Lachenmeyer. Take-off from Athens was at 16:45 for a search in quadrant 3683. The search for a ship that probably was sunk by a mine was fruitless and landing back at Athens was at 17:55.
March 21st 1942 flew a transportmission from Athens to Suda with as pilot Oberleutnant Tretter. Take-off from Athens at 13:06 and landing at Suda at 14:15. The aircraft and crew stayed there for two days.
March 23rd 1942 flew from Suda to the island Milos with pilot Oberleutnant Tretter, take-off from Suda at 10:27 and landing at Milos at 11:28. The flight continued with take-off from Milos at 13:04 and landing at Athens at 13:51.
March 31st 1942 made a rescue mission with pilot Oberleutnant Tretter. Take-off from Athens at 14:03. The search was fruitless and a stop-over was made at Milos with the aircraft returning in Athens at 15:40.
April 2nd 1942 started with testflights from Athens, pilot was Oberleutnant Tretter. These testflights lasted untill April 10th.
May 29th 1942 made a rescue mission with as pilot Oberleutnant Tretter. Take-off from Athens at 10:00 and after a fruitless search the landing was back at Athens at 11:34.
June 15th 1942 made a rescue mission from Athens with as pilot Oberleutnant Tretter. Take-off from Athens at 06:00 and landing after a fruitless search at Suda at 13:25.
June 17th 1942 made the returnflight from Suda to Athens with take-off at 16:42 and landing at 18:00.
June 28th 1942 made a flight from Athens to Suda with pilot Feldwebel Sommer and mechanic Obergefreiter Moller.
June 30th 1942 made a flight from Suda to Bomba, pilot was Feldwebel Sommer and mechanic Obergefreiter Moller. Take-off was at 04:15 and landing on 06:15. Returnflight made that same day with take-off at 06:55 and landing at 09:10.
July 4th 1942 made a rescueflight with pilot Feldwebel Sommer and mechanic Obergefreiter Moller. Take-off from Suda at 11:06. The search for the crew of a Junkers Ju-88 was succesfull and after the crew was spotted they were picked up by a highspeed rescueboat. Landing back at Suda at 14:20.
July 21st 1942 stationed on Sicily.
August 25th 1942 made a rescueflight with pilot Oberleutnant Tretter and among the crew Unteroffizier Lachenmeyer. Take-off from Athens at 12:35, the search for the crew of a Junkers Ju-88 was not succesful. Landing back at Athens at 14:35. The search was in quadrant 198? (the last digits were unreadable).
December 25th 1942 made a transportflight from Athens to Suda. Pilot was Oberleutnant Tretter and observer was Staffelkapitan Hauptmann Losch, who flew along to bring christmas greatings to the Suda base. Arrival at Suda at 10:07.
December 26th 1942 made the returnflight from Suda to Athens with the same crew as above. Take-off at 10:28 and landing at 11:50.
At Athens Oberleutnant Tretter makes 12 instructionflights with the newly arrived pilot Unteroffizier Heinrich Weber.
January 2nd 1943 made a rescue mission from Athens to Quadrant 4745, pilot was Oberleutnant Tretter. Take-off was at 11:10 with landing back at Athens at 13:30. 10 people were rescued from the water.
January 7th 1943 made a transportflight from Athens to Iraklion. Pilot was Oberleutnant Tretter and special guest Seenotdienstfuhrer Mittelmeer (at Taormina on Sicily) Oberstleutnant Engelhorn. Take-off was at 09:35 and landing at 11:12. The next leg of the flight started at 13:08 and went to Suda, landing there at 13:35. The flight back to Athens was started right away with landing at Athens at 14:45.
January 23rd 1943 made a flight from Athens via Rimini to Venice, pilot was Oberleutnant Tretter. Special guest was Oberstleutnant Klintzsch, Chef der Luftwaffeninspektion 16 (Seenotwesen). Take-off was at 10:05, no landing time known.
January 27th 1943 made the returnflight from Venice to Athens, pilot was Oberleutnant Tretter and again with Oberstleutnant Klintzsch as guest. Take-off was at 10:30 and landing at Athens at 15:35.
February 3rd 1943 made a number of testflight at Athens and a number of transportflights from Athens to Suda, all with pilot Staffelkapitan Hauptmann Hans Tretter. Between February 3rd and February 10th a total of 21 of the forementioned flights were made by Tretter with the CH+EX.
March 9th 1943, lasting until March 25th, made daily transportflights between Sebastopol and Lake Witjasewski to supply enclosed German troops that could only be reached by sea and no longer by land. Among the crew were pilot Hauptmann Tetter, observer Feldwebel Fuhrmann and mechanic Unteroffizier Lachenmeyer. Every flight 3000 kg of cargo was brought into the bridgehead and wounded were taken back to Sebastopol. A total of 17 flights are made. On March 17th there was enemy contact with a MDR 6 and on March 18th with six Jakovlev Yak-1 fighters during which the Do-24 had to endure seven hits. On March 24th the crew consisted of pilot Hauptmann Tretter, Unteroffizier Schmidt, Unteroffizier Heyne, Obergefreiter Grzywotz and Unteroffizier Schlieder.
March 31st 1943 transferred from Sebastopol to Athens with that day the flight from Sebastopol to Varna. Pilot was Hauptmann Tretter.
April 3rd 1943 made the flight from Varna to Athens, arriving at 16:20. Same crew as above.
October 29th 1943 crashed in quadrant 5876 near Naxos when on a mission from Athens. Unteroffizier Lieber and four other crewmembers die in the crash.
